The City of Pinehurst is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Chief. The Police Chief is responsible for the administration over a department of 17 employees. Applicants will be T.C.O.L.E. (Texas Commission on Law Enforcement), possesses an Advanced Texas Peace Officer Certification (Master Peace Officer preferred), possess at least 5 years police officer experience with progressive leadership experience and pass background investigation and drug test. A valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record required. Must be in good physical condition and physically able to perform job duties. Must have good moral character as a role model officer and able to cope with situations firmly, courteously and tactfully. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with past Police Chief experience. The salary range depends on experience and qualifications.
